On sunday 9th Novemeber at 1030-1130 the band of hartlepool sea cadets once again will be leading the parade, at victory square in Hartlepool. With the remainder of the staf fand cadets in the main parade.
We will also be showing a presence at the Headland ceremony with approx 10 cadet attending there too.
We Shall remember them.
On the 4th Novemeber, the members of hartlepool sea cadet band were nominated in the United Kingdom youth parliament awards in the entertainment catagory.
Poc Usher was also nominated for outstanding contibtion to youth work. This was for all he does with the unit website, attending the national cadet council, and of course for all his excellent work within the unit supporting the cadets to name just a few.
Unfortunately they did'nt come away with the top prize, but we are still very proud of all the hard work and dedication they show on a continuing basis.

The weekend of the 24-26th oct 9 marine cadets and 4 sea cadets from hartlepool unit were good enough to get selected to attend the national trafalgar day parade in london involving units from every corner of the country.
It was a terrible rainy day but that did not stop the cadets putting on a excellent performance for all the crowds.
Well done to everyone involved from the cadets to district, area, national staff.
Just goes to show young people are great when givn the chance to shine.
This Sunday 24 cadets and 6 staff are off to HMS RALIEGH for a unit training course, should be great fun, although the 7-ish hour journey might not be so much fun.
Hope you all enjoy it

As previously posted the unit band travel down to HMS DRAKE to take part in the national band competition. Although the did not win they certainly had fun and gained valuable experiance. When the next one comes around we will be more confident and prepared.

Also well done to FIFE and TAYSIDE district band who showed along with ourselves that Northern area in a great light.
Hartlepool Sea Cadets have just ordered 4 brand new snare drums for our Unit Band and are expecting delivery of the drums before the National Band Competition which takes place on the weekend of 22nd - 24th August 2008 at Plymouth.
The National Band Competition is a bi-annual event in which the best bands from each Sea Cadet Area & Northern Ireland compete for the national title.
Hartlepool Unit will be representing Northern Area, allong with the combined band of Dundee & Abroath Units. Results of the Competition will be posted after the event.
they aim to win an annual SRMO competition between other Marine Cadet Detatchments in northern area (Yankee Company).
